I was just curious, the, um, there's been a lot of conversation around that the students that participate in extracurricular activities, fine arts, athletics, it helps their academic outcomes. Do we ever correlate participation with students' academic success?Jim Crosset · Member13:33
I was kind of curious about Board Member Lindy's point around Children's Hospital helping us. So I was looking at the national chronic absenteeism data. I mean, this is a problem across the nation. And it clearly states that this is, you know, high poverty districts see higher rates than lower poverty districts. Higher poverty districts, 36% higher.Kareem Moncree-Moffett · Vice President1:12:11
I will give you a couple thoughts on this. And again, trying to keep this moving, but I want to say I have always hated chronic absenteeism as a measure. And I get why we use it. I get why the state wants to use it. And I actually think it actually correlates a lot of ways with performance.Brandon Craig · President1:17:40
